Boo Boo Be Gone

Elly fell down at school yesterday and scraped her knee...owie. Little sugar always makes the boo boo feel better. *grin*

Knee Pain = FAIL

So Sunday I went for a run with Sarah-dog, we went for about two miles. The last 1/2 mile Sarah was just not having it and I nearly had to carry her home...which would have been fine (she's a small size dog). Note to self I can run further and faster then I used to last year, (Well, duh 30lbs off of this frame will do that to you) can't take Sarah with me anymore unless it's a leisurely stroll.

After the run I felt soooo good I finally caught the running bug again and wanted to get out there again...and soon. Ah hem, so I went for another run yesterday. This time at the gym because it was raining outside, and went for 2.5 miles stop free and no dog stopping me refusing to run anymore. It was glorious I felt great...until I got home...until I sat on the couch...until I had to get up from the couch and make some silly 5 year old little girl dinner.

Then the pain hit, oh the pain...my right knee was and is screaming at me, "You stupid woman what are you doing to me?!" Seriously I've ran less then 5 miles in two days what the fo shizzies? So my athletic husband sat me back down last night, wrapped a ice pack around my knee much to my dismay. I don't do ice packs...seriously remember I hate being cold. Purposely making any body part cold to me is stupid...why would you do such a thing?! But I sat there and let the stupid ice pack do it's thing and yes, fine I'll admit it felt better but AS IF!

Doing my favorite sport today after work...kick boxing...we'll see how the old knee does tonight.

I so would wear this as my wedding band. Come on it's purdy!! Even El loves to wear it...I have to sneak it out of the house if I wanna wear it. =)

Easy Peasy Chocolate Pie

Should have done this yesterday for my Tofu Tuesday but since this has nothing to do with tofu and all to do with yummyness...you're getting this on Wednesday. HA!
So actually Miss Elly thought of this while we were grocery shopping.
She said, "Momma remember when you put chocolate in a pie...can we have this again?"
Sure darling sweet child. So I bought little mini pie crust, some instant chocolate pudding mix and went to town.
It was about 4 tbs of chocolate pudding for each mini pie.
Then I topped it off with some nanners...you could totally do strawberries...bet that'd be yummy.

And overall score of mini chocolate banana pie??? A 10 don't cha think?! Mmmm good!

Soccer Girl

This is the first year that we have signed El up for soccer...and she loves it! Every Saturday they have practice and then a short game. This is strictly just for fun with the YMCA and in El's age group they have about 8 teams.

It was pretty bright out the fist week and many kids borrowed their Mom's sunglasses.

But then I stole them back! After I ran to the car and got her pair.

So funny she kicks the ball with the side of her body. Eh whatever works right?

Second practice was a bit more cold...in fact it even started snowing.

Elly still practiced with her team despite the freezing weather.

I want to say women but my nurse friend Cameron says men.

No way! I can barely walk and chew gum at the same time. The whole GPS thing has nearly put me in two car wrecks already AAAAAND just ask my Dad about a diet coke incident I had a couple months ago. Okay fine I’ll tell you. I called my Dad on my way home and no I didn’t have my blue toothy thing in so I was driving one handed. Well I got thirsty so I thought well can’t let go of the wheel so I’ll knee drive…hold on Dad gotta get a drink…reach for the diet coke and I swerve into the other lane…throw the diet coke take back control of the wheel nearly killing myself and three other cars…horns a blazing…diet coke spilled on the passenger side…heart failure. I’m still thirsty.

School Days

We only live a few blocks from Elly's kindergarten/daycare center. So I decided yesterday to go home first grab Sarah and walk up to Elly's daycare. Elly was a bit confused when we walked outside and she saw Sarah waiting for her. On the way home we stopped at the park and I let her play for a few minutes and then we headed back home.

She asked if we could do this everyday...uh oh...suuuure as long as it's nice and warm El. Hard to believe in a few month she'll be graduating kindergarten. Cry!

Laundry Help

I will admit I'm a little fidgety...a little bit of a control freak...okay fine, I'm anal when it comes to how the towels are folded. Let me explain we have a teeny weeny closet for our bathroom items...towels, toilet paper, hair things, medicine, etc. We have two shelves for towels...washcloths, hand towels, etc. So folding them just to the tee so they all fit and look nice is a task that I take seriously. Jon likes to mess with me though and when he folds the laundry, he folds the towels wrong and it irritates me. I've been known to take them all out and refold them. Yes I know fidgety, but it's just a tick and I can't stop thinking about it, so I just stop what I'm doing and fix it. Shut up.

So one afternoon Jon and Elly were folding laundry, awhhh so sweet! No it wasn't he was allowing her to fold the towels! SAY IT AIN'T SO! She was folding the towels wrong because he-who-must-not-be-named was teaching her to fold the towels!! I could have stepped in, I could have had a huge fit, but I didn't. I mean she was "helping" to fold the laundry and I'll just teach her later how to fold the towels the right way when Jon is not around.
And for the record no I did not go and refold them...I waited until after she went to bed. Shut up!

Easter fun!!

We went over to our good friends Cameron and Zack's yesterday for Easter. They have a humongous yard that the Easter bunny was exhausted after hiding all the eggs. Poor bunny!
Two very anxious little ones waiting to pounce. Competition was fierce, side note, it was hilarious watching them! I know, I know...but I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.
