Loopy

Eye drops make her a little giddy...but knock on wood no glasses yet. One eye is more dominant but for now we are to wait it out and hope the other eye strengthens. Crossing fingers. Because she was such a trooper Dr. Eye-man let her have two lollipops and stickers. Score!

Spring Break

Elly's spring break started early...okay, okay...so Jon and I couldn't wait to take a few days off. We are exhausted and needed a much needed break. HAHAHAHA! No but really we did. If I saw another calculator and a paper that needed me to sign or whatever I was seriously going to crack. So we took a break and took Elly to a indoor water park. Fitting since yesterday it snowed...of course it snowed. We packed the car up and headed out. Oh it was sooooo nice not having to work on a Friday and sleep in a little bit and secretly laugh at all the fools getting up and getting ready for work. HAHAHAHAHAH! Yes I'm a bit evil.

Anyways we had a great time and it was so fun! Elly was even tall enough to ride some of the bigger rides. She loved the wave pool...just how it sounds the waves get big simulating the ocean. Here's some after pictures:

We did not skip a beat this weekend with enjoying the sunshine!! On Friday the forecast said rain, rain, rain all weekend...ummmm maybe that weather man should be fired!

No rain here...little chilly but NO RAIN! Let's go to the park.

Kick the soccer ball around, run around in the grass, do some somersaults! Woo hoo!

Hi Spring!! We've missed you!!
Push me higher Daddy!
Weeee!
Don't cha love static!!
Needless to say...we were not the only one's at the park this weekend. It was packed, filled with cabin fever little girls and boys.
Yea for Spring!!

High School Friends

Facebook...not for just fun and games...but to be reunited.

I was a junior (I think) when Amber and I met in math class. Side note: Look how tan I was!! We clicked right away and became instant friends. I spent the night at her house, we went to movies together and we got in trouble together (haha just kidding Mom and Dad...maybe) . One day I walked into class and noticed Amber wasn't there, she had told me that she maybe was moving back to Alaska where her Dad lived but didn't know when. Well that day came and I was ever so sad. Really sad...I mean who was I going to goof off with in class? Err I mean learn math with in class.

So this weekend I was ever so excited when I got a Facebook message from my long lost friend Amber. I should mention too that in 2000 or 2001 we did email to meet up when she was visiting her Mom but something happened and we didn't get a chance. So bummed!! Now that she has found me again on Facebook we are reunited. HOLLA!! =)

I wonder if she has a long lost relative in Ohio...hmmmm the possibilities.

(Not a great picture...but I can vow that Amber looks the exact same way...and I now am more pasty white...HA!)

Tofu Tuesday

Tofu Tuesdays
Brought to you by...
Kaci@Ellyphant & Kelli@Gohn Crazy

So one night I was driving home and Elly asked me if she could make herself dinner. I guess I should add that lately she is wanting to be very independent...taking showers by herself, getting dressed by herself, you get my point. So I took a deep breathe and told her okay.

We get home, get settled and she told me what she wanted...pb&j (naturally) so I got her the peanut butter down, bread, jelly, a butter knife and a napkin. She pulled her stool over and went to town.

She was super excited that she was making her own dinner. I let her be and after a few failed attempts at spreading the pb&j evenly she asked for help. Sometimes being a Mommy is hard at keeping your hands behind your back, your mouth shut and just letting things be. But of course being right there to step in when asked.

After the sandwich was made she asked for a banana, baby carrots and a yogurt to complete her meal. She ate most of it leaving the baby carrots for Mommy to finish. Eh at least she wanted them...makes me proud. So I challenge you Mommy and Daddy's to see what your kids would make for dinner...and let them make it. Have a fab Tofu Tuesday!

Picking my

battles...
I know I shouldn't encourage it/allow it but, those fairy wings are just too cute. Funny too because I just watched "What Not To Wear" on TLC and there was this adult woman who loved wearing fairy wings and massive amounts of glitter makeup out in public. Ummmm maybe this is how it all started. But isn't it soooo cute???!!!

School Photo FAIL!

Pick out the perfect outfit...make sure it's washed...not wrinkled...brush baby girls hair and pray that by the time her school starts at noon it still looks decent...even put a cute clip in her hair...cross your fingers....pray...cross your fingers....pray.
Month later husband opens school bag on Monday morning realize pictures were in the folder since Friday...bent....devasatation....look at pictures...see that her jacket was left on...no clip in the hair and half way smiling.
Ho hum...pat yourself on the back that you are so anal about getting daughter's pictures done professionally twice a year...at least it's just school pictures and you buy just a few for memory sakes...could have been worse...I've seen worse...I had worse...she's still pretty gosh darn cute.

Snow Cap

Sometimes you just don't have time to look for all your snow gear to go outside.

Sometimes the dog is barking at the door to go potty.

Sometimes you will find your gloves.

Sometimes you will find your scarf.

Sometimes you're just too lazy to look for your own snow cap.

so you improvise and wear your daughter's snow cap...

And sometimes you have to wait 30 seconds longer so your wife can grab the camera and snap a picture...and embarrass you on her blog.
