Elly's first day...meet and greet. This picture speaks a thousand words to me...first Elly looks very timid, like who is this lady and why am I posing next to her? Second the way she's holding the crayon.
Last day of school
Now could this picture be any different? Both look very comfortable with each other. Elly is so at ease and excited! I got her a red balloon (school color) for her last day when I went to pick her up (you can see the rid ribbon). Her teacher looks just as excited. We will miss her! We both gave hugs and hurried out to celebrate.
Just a comparison...look how tall Elly has grown.
Because I don't spoil her enough I treated her to ice cream.
Later after Jon got home we went out to dinner at Red Robin...yum. HA! Elly was repeating that all afternoon.
She told EVERYONE that came in contact with us that she was going into first grade and that Mommy got her a red balloon aaaannnnddd ice cream.
Eh you only graduate kindergarten once.

Before I even read where you commented on how much taller she's grown, I said, "HOLY COW! Look how much taller she's grown!" crazy! The only pic I have of J next to his teacher is while he's sitting down and she's kneeling next to him, so it wouldn't be a very good growth comparison picture. bummer! I love that you have a start of the year pic and an end of the year pic. Very fun to see them side by side like that. Glad El had a great year. First Grade, here she comes!!!
