In labor since 2am; 3 cm, no epideral but screaming for it.
Grant: Having a c-section in about an hour.

Kory
Soooo excited and a little sad! Kory will be having lil baby Carter this week in California and here I am in Ohio...sigh. Anyone have a jet plane not in use? Or helicopter? Or go-go-gadget spring boots?
Kory's getting induced today and hopefully the boy will make a painfree entrance!
Kory and I have been besties for 27 years and I couldn't be more thrilled for her, she'll be a great Mommy!! I'll keep her page updated the best I can...please visit here and leave the new Mommy a little love.

Fathers
Yes I'm a week late but I have good excuses...well kinda. My daughter decided to be born 5 years ago two days before Father's Day and ever since I've heard from my husband how I never bought him his first Father's Day present. I told him I gave him the gift of his daughter. He rolls his eyes still to this day. HEY HEY HEY I had a c-section it wasn't like I just popped her out and they sent me home!! Over 30 hours of labor and thennnn they decide ya you ain't gonna be able to do this let's cut this kid out of ya...oh gee thanks. And to be completely honest and fair he never gave me anything when I was 8-9 months pregnant with Elly on Mother's Day so how was I to truly know when and if she would be born before or after Father's Day?!? Huh, huh, huh????
Whew where did that come from?
Anyways I'm very blessed that my daughter has such a great Daddy. A Daddy that cares deeply and loves her fiercely everyday. A Daddy that still gets down with her and plays Billy Dogs. A Daddy that calls her just to say hi and I love you. Every Friday morning the first thing El asks to do it to call her Daddy so they can say good morning to each other. Annnnnd because she loves her Daddy so much...now she wakes him up in the middle night to go potty. Pay back....ahhhh sweet pay back!

They have such a strong bond, truly a Daddy's girl forever.

See as long as he didn't try to touch her she was cool with that. Poor Papa Dale. But I'll tell you what he could make her laugh faster then anyone else. He taught her how to fake cough.

Ohhh that was so fun...especially around cold/flu season. Man Dad that was so funny. Ha ha HA! What's a new Mom to do when her darling daughter is coughing or fake coughing?!? Long nights.
Papa Dale is sure a great dancer when you are 2 years old. He danced all night with his granddaughters when the rest of us were rubbing our tooties.
Now that we live in Ohio and Papa Dale is in California we have fun conversations on the phone. I say fun loosely...most of the time El talks about Billy Dog or if Spongebob is on forget talking to the kid.
"Well I love you!" that's code for peace out I'm watching tv.

Turtle Weight
Okay so I debated on whether or not to share this.
One--I'm embarrassed about my weight butttttt not embarrassed on my success.
Two--I have ugly feet (inherited my toes from my Mom...sorry Mom you have ugly feet. I still love you though)...so need a pedicure, bright red is so last season.
Three--I'm showing the world my current WEIGHT (and my bathroom floor, scale and shower curtain)!!!

That's right...20.5 pounds gone!! First goal reached! I haven't seen this number in over 5 plus years. I weigh less then I did on my wedding day. And I was looking goooood on my wedding day (like every bride should). Stay tuned for 139.5 it's coming...watch out!

Tofu Tuesday

Balsamic Asparagus and Red Peppers!
Wash the veggies and cut the ends of the asparagus off, if you're anal like, ah hem, me make them all exactly the same length.
Cut the red peppers in long strips. Combine asparagus and peppers in bowl or bag.
Add two tablespoons of balsamic dressing and a few second sprays of olive oil. Shake well so each veggie gets a nice coating.
Place veggies in deep baking dish, bake on 350 for 20-25 minutes.
Salt/Pepper to taste.
