Here we are before the graduation started...I like to call this one pre-tears.
Here's the graduate! Siiigh whoever put that cap on her head needs some serious fashion help. But she's damn cute sporting that cap!

El's first day of three year old preschool. I bought that cute outfit just for that day. *sniff, sniff* The shoes had little bees on them...bumble bee shoes. They were so cute *sniff* but she hated wearing them, *sniff, waiiiil* but liked to wear them with socks. ~sigh~
El's first day of four year old preschool. I just threw this outfit together that morning. In fact I think it's just hand-me-down clothes. The child loves to run around and get...*sniff, sniff*...dirty. She smiled that day for me cause I promised her she could have M&M's for breakfast. *waaaail*

I did it! And I set a new PR (personal record) for myself! YAY! I ran my second 5K today and I beat my time by 4 minutes. Whoop, whoop!
Oh and Jon came in 2nd place overall...whatever. Just kidding...I'm so proud of him! He came in at 17:44 WOWZERS!
Elly was very excited this year to buy her Daddy a birthday present. We went to every store she asked to go to and finally ended up at Finish Line where she picked out his gift. It was very cute how she stood there and tapped her foot, put her hands on her hips, click her tongue and choose a green Livestrong t-shirt.
And this is what I got Jon...I bought this weather for him! I did...I swear! I prayed to the weather goddess's or gods...hell they're probably gods cause no woman in her right mind would make it so damn cold in the winter. Yay for sunshine! Big J ran the half marathon in 1 hour 2o minutes and 2 seconds! See...minutes to spare! His pace was 6:06 per mile for 13.1 miles. He came in 12th place over all, 4500 people were in the race. 2nd place in his age group. He qualified for New York City!!! So next year, we're packing out bags and headed to one of the largest marathons ever! It's going to be great! While he's running I'm gonna shop my ass off...I mean be supportive and cheer him on. 
He's doing his signature peace sign...weirdo. And yes he's sportin' his other signature mohawk that he wears for his longer races. Eh, must work for him he got 12th place. Whatever works right?

Mashed Cauliflower Taters
*1/2-1 pound of cauliflower
*Spray butter
Makes 1-2 servings
I'm a busy Mom so I'm going to give you the quick/short version. Do you have a microwave steamer? What are you waiting for go buy one now! Then come back and microwave your cauliflower for about 5-10mins (every microwave is different), drain the water and mashed the veggies. You may want to add a bit more water depending if you like the texture more runny or chunky...personally I like a bit of chunk. Add a few squirts of the spray butter and bam mashed taters, oops I mean mashed cauliflower taters!! Swear it taste just like em but score they are healthy for you!
Our Target got a makeover several months ago and they put in the red cement balls for decoration or some reason. HA! Anyways ever since Elly has to kick the ball on the way in and out. It's quite entertaining and disturbing all in one.
"Wait Momma I gotta kick the red ball!" Elly will shout.
Or my most favorite, "Go kick the ball El, hold on a second Honey!" Jon will tell me as I'm pushing the cart fast and far away from any red ball and pretending I don't know them.
I kid, I kid!
Good thing she put her cushioney Crocs on!

So on Sunday my dear sweet child slept in until 9am!! NINE!!! Awhhhh it was wonderful. As she was sleeping I of course busied myself with laundry, vacuuming, dusting...ha! Ya right I laid in bed and was super lazy. Anyways we were both hungry for some breakfast so being at the restful state I was I opted to let her help me make breakfast. We had a yummy filling breakfast of waffles, pears, blackberries, and scrambled eggs. YUMO! Elly helped me but cutting the pears in itty bitty pieces, she was thrilled that she was a big helper in getting our morning started off right.
OH! I can't believe it...get this...are you ready? Okay so we got to the movie a tish late and usually I have to have a big ol bag of popcorn with extra butter and a big diet coke to wash it down. Well...ah hem...I didn't get either, instead I smuggled in a bottle of water and that was that. I KNOW! Actually the noise of the popcorn munchers annoyed me, especially during the quieter scenes...come on people just stop eating for a few seconds...sheesh!
Anyways go watch it! Lay off the popcorn...or just eat with your mouth shut...whatev.
