Ketchup
Isn't everything better with ketchup smeared all over it?? Mmmm yum-o! Ooo I have a true story for you. Okay so when Jon and I were dating, (well we dated for awhile because well...wait that's another story for another time) I got all jazzed about making tacos for him. I got the tortillas, cheese, meat (gag), all the fixings. We were just sitting down to eat and I had forgot something...ketchup! I came back to the table with my ketchup and started putting everything in a big bowl and then took my ketchup and started pouring it on the top. He looked at me with horror and asked, "what the hell are you doing, you're ruining the tacos!!" I looked at him surprised and stammered, "bu...bu...but that's how my Mom does it." He took my ketchup bottle away before I did any more damaged and made himself a few tacos and then gave it back. Shocked and befuddled I smear the ketchup all over my tacos and ate them. Eh whatever boys are weird.
This weekend nothing made me more proud then when I saw this:
"Want some Mommy? It's good."
Sorry child I have to draw the line somewhere.
Jon just rolled his eyes.

Believe it or not I am of Hispanic heritage on my father’s side. When I was younger my grandma would make the best Mexican food. Tacos, Empanadas, Chile Verde etc. It was very authentic and very good. Having grown up with that type of food I did not know what Kaci was doing and why she would destroy her food that way. Ketchup on tacos, what the heck? I think she must have read the label wrong. I am still not over it yet. I have often thought about getting her professional help for this but I do not think she would go. I just hope that I am able to keep her from turning my daughter to the dark side. Please do not encourage Kaci by telling her it is ok. I think we all know there is something VERY WRONG.
ummm.... ketchup does NOT belong anywhere near tacos or chips.

LOL Um. No. Sorry. :0P I like ketchup on the normal things like burgers and hot dogs, oh and grilled cheese sandwiches. But not tacos.

Yeah, I am gonna have to stand with Jon on this one too, ketchup doesn't belong on tacos. Tater tots yes, tacos? no. lol. Glad El has an appericiaton for the red stuff though. M eats hers with a fork!
*L* Sorry, but EWWWWW. But this is coming from someone who doesn't even like ketchup on french fries. Although my whole family are ketchup-aholics.
OK, don't hate me: I'm not a ketchup lover. I could take it or leave it. I was not a condiment kid and didn't eat ketchup until I was 6. I know, I know, for shame!
