Whew what a weekend! We just got home from Jon's half marathon. Yep that's right he did it! And he did it sooooooo well! I am so proud of his accomplishment that tears were streaming down my face. He finished in 1:23!! He was second place in his age group! So proud of him.

Elly eagerly waiting for Jon!

Jon running down to the finish line, he came in over all I think in sixth place!!
Big Half Marathoner Jonathan (yes conservative Jon has a mohawk)! .jpg)

So proud of her Daddy!

I took this so you can see the steam off these nutters heads...the one's who ran in the friggin cold but you can't see it. That's the food table for the runners. Jon snagged me a banana...love bananas! Mmmmm good!
Jon gave El his medal to wear while standing in line for the balloon man and he went to get stretch out a bit, his knee has been bothering him.

Smiling and thinking hurry the hell up balloon man! HAHA!!
Balloon man made her a dog like Sarah!
Crazy eyes!! She did the eye thing (a lot scarier...honest) in the car driving up to this marathon and I looked back (thought she was sleeping) and it scared the begeezes out of me. Ever seen the Emily Rose movie? Shivers...yikes!
Yes we were getting bored.
How far can I stretch this shirt?
Let's do it again!! Again! Again!!
Jon and I...you're gonna shave your mohawk today right honey?
Elly and Jon
Jon getting his award...it's a framed picture of the course. It's so beautiful where he ran!

I wanted to say to my wonderful and beautiful wife thank you. For bloging about my race, for putting up with all my training and for most of all being my inspiration. I trained very hard for this race and I could not have done it if I did not know that I had the best cheerleader in the world in my corner. Kaci I love you and thank you for being you and letting me be me.
Wow, congratulations!
I almost know how hard that is. I wanted to run one in august. While I was training I managed to run seven miles before giving up forever.
Congratulations for doing so well! I just wish I could get myself to walk on the treadmill! What willpower. Also, that made me tear up (sniff, sniff) when I read Jon's comment. What a thoughtful husband. He's a keeper!
1:23!

WAY TO GO JONATHAN. Elly looks excited that Daddy was in the race. We LOVE the sign she and MOMMY made. Kaci, are you teaching here ALL your cheerleading routines??? NO comment about the hair style!!!
Sure wish you guys come come out to CALIFORNIA as a family soon. We know, $$$. Oh Yea, Jon that was really nice and a tear jerker of what you wrote to your beautiful BRIDE. We love her too.
Amazing! I don't know that I would ever sign up for that kind of torture...and he took second! I'm suitably impressed. The comment was sweet, too. And the hair?? I gotta admit, I kinda like that faux hawk look. I can't get my J to even consider it...
Wow that is so cool! I love all the pictures! And the mohawk really does crack my up. :)
So cool! And you love bananas... another new thing I learn about my bloggy friend, Kaci! :)
